While the HTML5 malware is already known threat, the new code that uses redirect is new. Moreover, this code is broken into hard detectable parts and is activated by the JavaScript that inserts this malicious code when a user browses the web. The device that is used to browse the web plays a significant role in malware injection. If it meets certain criteria, the JavaScript code is inserted into the website that causes a pop-up page to open where is asks for personal info of the user. Such malware needs to be addressed immediately due to recent GDPR enforcement, however, it spreads very fast.
